I can't remember where I saw a thread regarding the Bootvis tune-up, but someone mentioned that a particular 'service' or whatever it was - is activated during the tune-up process and remained active after the tune-up was complete.

Does anyone know where I can find the thread? I can't remember who posted it, or what the actual title was.

This was taken from my bootvis info file...could this be what your talking about.

You may see "warning disk write caching is disabled" i am pretty sure Bootvis Automatically enables this for you... but you can manually enable this by going to Device manager >> Right click on your hard drive >> Properties >> Policies Tab >> Check " Enable Disk write caching"

No, I don't think it's about disk write chaching.

I think it's more to do with some sort of service that affects the security of the OS or something like that.
