smithxi
I just built a new computer. Dual-core AMD Athlon 4600, 2gbs of G.Skill Ram, Chaintech Pci-e 512mb Geforce 7600 Gs Video Card, etc.My problems started about Three weeks ago, when the pc wasn't always turning on. 1 in 7 times it would turn on. So I updated my Bios. Now it turns on every time. Restling over different Windows installations, I somehow settled upon the installation I'm on now. After numerous blue screens of death, bsod, because of 0xA errors, 0x8E, 0x7E, etc. I've done my fair share of homework, searching around, and I am convinced it is the video card drivers. Without the drivers installed, I don't crashes like, nv4_mini.sys, irql, reset shadow memory, etc.I am on Windows Xp Pro 32bit, and am wondering, has anyone figured out a safe driver to run without blue screen errors, or memory access errors, or any of the above, for any of the new nvidia chipsets, such as the 7600 Gs?Do I need to upgrade to Vista Beta? Will that even solve the problem? Please help.
