DVDRW Burning problems (probably media related, used to burn ok with i

Featured Replies

I've got some DVDRW discs that used to take ages to 'synchronise cache' in imgburn, so there was something weird about how they are made, it'd take about 2 mins to synch after a burn

now these discs in nlite fail to verify (it appears as if the files are on the disc, but it fails to boot)

its probably just the media i have, but the burning dll doesn't like them

does anyone else use DVDRW discs and do they work ok for you?

-tried at low speeds and with both UDF on and off, same results

Verify reports failed or it instantly finishes and reports success (this second thing is solved in next ver to check whole cd, but that doesn't affect this issue) ?

right now i'll put it down to bad media (because of the length it takes to complete in imgburn)

will test with next version too though

cdr worked fine, don't have any dvdr's here to test with (ie, to test if UDF is needed for all dvd's)

Ok, I'll see about UDF too then automate it if absolutely needed.

Thing is in Nero that I need to enable UDF only if there is file larger than 2GB or so in the compilation.

yeah, udf may only be needed for dvd movies, i'm not sure, so might be able to remove that option altogether
