vmware file monitor or logger - help please

ive search around and i cant solve my problem

i want to monitor file activity while vmware boots windows or installs programs

something like how norton clean sweep works or there alternatives fileWATCH and FileDog

ive just started to use vmware, i accessed its own logger but it doesnt show what im looking for
