Win 2K sp4 windows update error code problem

I have Win 2K sp4 with the latest IE 6.0 browser. I'm trying to do a windows update and get the following error

code which occurs in two possible variations.

a ). I get, download windows update software, express and custom buttons. When I select get the download

windows update software and follow the various screens, I get the error message and code listed below.

b ). For item (a), I get the error message and code immediately after selecting windows update from the pop

down menu. This problem comes and goes, whereas item (a) above is consistent.

Error message:

"The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view....

[Error Number: 0x80072F78 ]"

Has anybody encountered this error code? It isn't mentioned on MSofts site as a typical error code for

windows download updates.
