Brando569 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Im running a corperate version of Windows XP Pro X64 and alot of times my OS is detected as 2003 Server and it wont let me install certain things. I just got a new verizon cellphone and i went to connect it to my computer but i cant install WMP10 or the drivers for the phone. how can i make this work? is there a way to change what my computer says the OS is?
underdone Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Are you sure the drivers for the phone are 64bit? As far as i know its not possible to download the x64 version of WMP10. I spent alot of time trying to find where to download it a long time ago, but all i found was the x86 version.
Aegis Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 x64 uses the Server 2003 codebase and certain programs will see it as a server OS.
jroc Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 check this page out..it shows WMP 10 for x64 XP Pro http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...r/versions.aspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...10/default.aspx
