Hey guys

I have a question regarding the tutorial the integration of hotfixes. I am doing it the "svpack.inf-way".

In the guide found at http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/24/

it tells me to make my svpack.inf look like this:

---------------------------------

;Windows XP

[Version]

Signature="$Windows NT$"

MajorVersion=5

MinorVersion=1

BuildNumber=2600

[setupData]

CatalogSubDir="\i386\SVCPACK"

[ProductCatalogsToInstall]

[setupHotfixesToRun]

KB133700.exe /l /o /l

qchain.exe

----------------------------------

But before doing anything but slipstreaming the SP2 nLite tells me that my build is build 2180. Should i replace the build number in svpack.inf with my actual build no.?

Best regards

Delpart: It is because the location of my avatar (i dont use this forum that much) doesn't exist anymore. But i'll fix that right away :)

So the ppl behind msfn.org thinks its funny to replace a "missing avatar" with newbie :P

Hmm it wasn't because of that.... Then I don't know why it's there...

You need to install the KB057331.exe with /z /membertitleinyourmsfncontrolpanel="Not-A-Newbie' /q /o /n switches.

Anyway, http://www.2600.com holds for sure the answer : 2600 is the SP2 build number.

edit: i typed tooooo fast... 2180 is the SP2 build number (SP1 was 1106 or something like). 2600 is XP build number.

5.1.2600.* = XP

5.1.2600.1106 = XP SP1

5.1.2600.2180 = XP SP2

As you can see, there is two build numbers, that's just to confuse people like you and me :lol:
