August 29, 200323 yr Hi Today I bought a notebook (asus a2500H)And the fan runs constantly at 2800 rpmthe temp is 39 D Celsius.I didnt expect the fan to run all the timeis there anything to do??All help is welcome.S.
August 30, 200323 yr The fan is supposed to be on all the time to cool your notebook down when its on! Anyway, have a look in the BIOS to see if you can control the fan's speed.
August 30, 200323 yr I have to opposite problem with my Toshiba, the CPU fan always runs of course, but the case fan never turns on making it terribly painful to put the laptop on your lap. There is a program called fan.exe which costs around $5 which lets you turn it off and on, but its only for Toshiba laptops.
September 1, 200323 yr Author Could anybody tell me if its possible to buy a different fan for my notebook?asus a2hBoth fans are running ( I know the cpu fans has to run!) and there is no way of controlling them in bios or with pcprobe. The store says they want to give me a fan that gives away only 12 Db.That sounds good... Where can i buy or have a look at cpu and chassis fans for notebooksS.
