teddyking Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 i knew that nlie can reduce source size.it's work fine for me i can pack everything i need to 1 cd but when i integrate Shark007 's codec.i found that if i do components removingwith nlite,the codec won't work after finish install xp.this problem persist even in latest version of Shark007 codec.So,i have to find other way to reduce source size.i do searching and found that 2 guys mention about reducingin sp1,those threads were 3 years ago.Their site on msfnhostingdon't work for me.Please suggest... DRauch Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 You just removed some components you needed in the 'Remove Components' section.Could you please upload the NLite Remove log. It's difficult to tell what problem's could be when you don't know what's removed. It should be in C:\MYWINDOWSXPNAME or where-ever and what-ever name you saved it under as. teddyking Posted September 13, 2006 Author Share Posted September 13, 2006 Now i found the way to make it work.The new Shark007 version 4 works find on my UAXPCD.i just use nlite to remove component which is no need to decompress andrecompress cabinet files eg.Tour,Search assist,Netmeeting,etc.The process in nlite won't longer than a few minute and the codecswork properly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
