Need Help about reduce size of XP SP2

Featured Replies

i knew that nlie can reduce source size.it's work fine for me

i can pack everything i need to 1 cd but when i integrate

Shark007 's codec.i found that if i do components removing

with nlite, the codec won't work after finish install xp.

this problem persist even in latest version of Shark007 codec.

So,i have to find other way to reduce source size.

i do searching and found that 2 guys mention about reducing

in sp1,those threads were 3 years ago.Their site on msfnhosting

don't work for me.

Please suggest...

You just removed some components you needed in the 'Remove Components' section.

Could you please upload the NLite Remove log. It's difficult to tell what problem's could be when you don't know what's removed. It should be in C:\MYWINDOWSXPNAME or where-ever and what-ever name you saved it under as.

It's a known issue that something in nlite conflicts with the avd filter and codec pack.

Now i found the way to make it work.

The new Shark007 version 4 works find on my UAXPCD.

i just use nlite to remove component which is no need to decompress and

recompress cabinet files eg.Tour,Search assist,Netmeeting,etc.

The process in nlite won't longer than a few minute and the codecs

work properly :)
