Marztabator Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 When I set them to 'on', for instance, I'm still left with the "Windows Default" and "No Sounds" options in Sound settings, nothing else.
Marztabator Posted August 31, 2003 Author Posted August 31, 2003 I assume the media_utopia switch is related to the Utopia Sound Scheme, but what of media_clips?
Drewdatrip Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 Could you rephrase your question?Additionaly add a bit of backround info on what your trying to do.|Drew|
Marztabator Posted September 1, 2003 Author Posted September 1, 2003 I'm talking about a couple of the switches you can use in [Components] in winnt.sif. I don't appear to get the Utopia sound scheme even when media_utopia is set to "on". And I'm not sure what files media_clips represents. Anyone have any ideas?
Marztabator Posted September 2, 2003 Author Posted September 2, 2003 ref.chm refers to media_clips as "sample sound clips". Not very helpful in detail, is it? What sample sound clips exactly? And is the Utopia Sound Scheme only available in "Plus!"?
Marztabator Posted September 4, 2003 Author Posted September 4, 2003 Er... yes, I be using XP. Why else did you think I posted in this forum?
Marztabator Posted September 19, 2003 Author Posted September 19, 2003 Well, it turns out I was right in the end. After many tests of VPC, I can exclusively confirm that these two switches make absolutely NO difference (nada, nout, zip) to the system's contents whether it's set to "yes", "no" or "gibberdegooble"!I wonder why it had to be like this?
