Im creating some questions for an interview and just wondering what questions you all would ask if your testing someones knowledge in Windows server and Exchange server? Just to ensure they have the relevant skills in those 2 topics. Could you also provide your answers if you do have questions.

Thanks

depends on the position, is it entry level admin work? or senior admin? makes a big difference,

entry level questions i have seen

what are the private IP ranges,

10.x.x.x etc

what is SMB,

What are SVR records,

how do you configure a network printer?

GPO questions

OU and Group creation questions,

if exchange is in the mix

Routing group setup, creating routing group connectors, mail-enabled user creation or group creation. mail backup and restore.

a really good way to test someones skills is to have a test domain setup (VS server 2005 with domain, exchange etc) break a few things and tell them things are wrong with the domain and they need to fix it.

just things i have had to do in interviews for some admin level jobs,
