Default partition on unattended setup

Hi,

I still need Win98 on my machines for an old application. Please, I dont want to get into any detail as to why and "you should update the software" chit chat.

Basically 98 has to be installed first, which is fine, and im not trying to use nlite for 98 either before anyone asks.

Im simply trying to make the overall process a bit easier and quicker by creating an unattended install of XP using nlite. My only question is what partition is Windows going to try and use on the unattended mode, as during the nlite wizard there was no option to specify this.

Unattended is after the text mode part of XP setup. You will still be prompted which partition to install Windows.

Ah ok perhaps im misunderstanding something.

Are there 2 types of Unattended modes. As this guide points out some deeper options such as 'AutoPartition' which would suggest that this would also automate the text mode part of the XP setup.

It is the same "unattended" concept but switches like "Repartition" or "Autopartition" are not considered in nLite as they are to risky andf 99.9% of people prefer to triple check what they do when it comes to play with partition. You can still add them to your Winnt.sif after using nLite.
