if so, what's the trick? i get an error sayin that the control panel can't initialize cos it can't find the grafix card (9800pro). the driver works fine, but not the control panel... please no "n00b" suggestions, i've read all i can find. please only reply if it works for you or if you know how to make it work. much appreciated. thanx.

first check if hardware accleration is enabled (default=disabled), then reinstall drivers & control panel... that solved some problems with my ati-card for me

Yes I can confirm this too, enabling Hardware Acceleration will allow the ATI Control Panel to be installed

ok here is what I did

1. installed Win 2K3 server

2. Installed Radeon Drivers

3. Installed Radeon Secondary display drivers

4. Enabled full hardware accelleration on display properties troubleshooting tab

5. installed DX 9.0b

6. enabled D3D AGP and DD accelleration

installed control panel

Alos, to get mine to work, even though it looked like hardware accell was on, it wasn;t. I had to drag it down to 0, click apply, then back to full and click apply

The install drivers and reboot.

yes it works without issues

rage3d tweak has limited functionality overlcocker and custom display modes work but not the d3d or ogl tweaks
