How do I track all of my microsoft licenses for my company who has 1000 users? I dont want to get slapped with an audit and I want to keep things leagal. I have purchased so many that I have no idea what is coming or going.

This is a very tedious process and it really all depends on what your company is willing to spend as far as tracking software. The best one that I have found is ServiceDesk Plus..

it will scan software on remote machines and create lists of all the software. The manual part of finding out what you ACTUALLY own is the hardest part.. Pretty tedious process.. If you have open volume licensing that makes things real easy also..
