I have been searching around on google for the past hour or so and have not found any solid support for this error:

Error Disabling Connection when she trys to disable her wireless connection:

"It is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-Play, or it may have been initiated by another user or system account."

My situation:

Helping out a friend over the phone whom is currently trying to configure her laptop at her college. To do so she must disable her old wireless connection that she used at home, and can not do so.

She told me that/I determined:

1) Her system clock was off, set to Central instead of Eastern

2) When she turned on her laptop (at college) she did a windows update even though she had not configured her laptop for the school network yet/not connected to internet.

3) She said a blank window came up when she did windows update (obviously), she doesnt remember if an error occured at this point

4) I tried running some netsh commands over the phone and they were not working

Thanks in advance,

Mike

So you want to disable wireless connection ? Disabling this using Device Manager ... (not using classic Connection window)
