NaelAmer Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Hello again guys, i know i'm so much hehe but after last trojan i been attacked with made a mess on my PC, anyway, now its clean and everything seems back as normal, but now my problem i keep losing my Drives Default shares as C$ D$ E$ F$ each time i restart my PC, so i cant access them till i share them again.Helpppppppppppppppppppppppppp Meeeeeeeeeee
dhdan Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Check your registry hereHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parametersIf you have Autosharewks in there...delete it. If that doesn't resolve your issue I would say make sure you have gotten rid of your virus and any malware and do a repair install of windows.

dhdan Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 As NaelAmer found out it's used to disable the administrative share points. It's all over the net in guides to "secure" your pc. These are very useful in a network environment...not so much at home.
