Kiki Burgh Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 hi xpero! i'd like to know if the uxtheme patcher in 45 would not require for any uxtheme.dl_ anymore? would there be conflict should there be patched uxtheme (s) present in various themes addons? thanks!
XPero Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 I dont fully understand your question, but you do need a uxtheme.dll, patched or not. It is is repatched by XPize, thats not a problem.
Kiki Burgh Posted August 29, 2006 Author Posted August 29, 2006 thanks for the reply! i'm wondering if i have other add-ons to slipstream --- like themes that have patched uxtheme.dll in the package (& every theme pack contains uxthemes) --- would this not be in conflict with what is already contained in xpize? would there not be conflicts having different uxthemes? you see i always use xpize but recently i also used rytukz_Vista_Icons_Pack_Ultimate_System_Patch_addon_1.1.cab & i noticed they negate each other in such a way that either 1 causes some apps (& their shortcuts) not be installed correctly ... tried it several times with the same results ... but when 1 is not present, there is no prob ... i may be wrong in this assumption but you may correct me on this one sir! thanks!
XPero Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Themes packs as you call them do not included uxtheme files, but uxtheme patchers to allow 3rd party visual styles (at least XPize does so). Anyway, as I told you, there shouldnt be any problem.
