Auto Log-On disabled by updates?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am having a small problem. Normally, I only have 1 user account on Windows XP Pro. This makes Windows automatically log me on when I boot the system.

In my unattended test setup, I only install the following items:

1. DirectX 9.0b

2. .NET Framework v1.1

3. Windows Media Player 9

4. Windows Hotfixes

After reboot however, Windows now takes me to the Welcome & LogOn screen and waits for me to log on. Is this normal? How can I change this?

Thanks

which user are you using? if it is the admin account then do as terminator says set auto logon using an obscene value ie: 1,000,000. however if you are creating a user with cmdlines.txt & a batch at the end of guisetup then you need to set adminautologon=no also you cannot specify a password for your account, please be a little more specific on user account, and then we can be a little more specific with the help
