Server 2003 Losing shares after reboot

Hi All,

Has anyone ever seen Server 2003 lose shared folder permissions after a reboot? I can

share multiple folders and then reboot and the folders are no longer shared. I've never

seen anything like this, any suggestions?

Is it definitely a clean reboot that's causing this?

Is there anything in the event log which might give a clue? I think the server service leaves an entry in the log if it can't share a folder for whatever reason.

Also, is the server service running when the box is rebooted? Are there any errors regarding the shares in the event log? If the server service isn't running, or has an issue when starting, you can see this behavior.

I did once have this problem... and yes it was due to the server service not starting.... this was almost 2 years ago though.. I do not remember how/what I did to fix it...
