janus zeal Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I have a forum and im looking for something kinda myspace like. i want each member to be able to have a journal/blog, but i dont want my server to have to handle a bunch of WordPress (or whatever) installs. I am useing SMF 1.1 RC2Thanks~
tain Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 joomla can do those things and also integrates with SMF via a bridge you find on the SMF forums.

tain Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Not precisely sure what your question is....Joomla is a Content Management System. It would act as your front page and manage all of your non-forum content.http://www.joomla.org/I had them both setup with the bridge when I was evaluating them for a project. The bridge facilitates integration without "damaging" either database. You may end up using an extension for the blog features you want.
chilifrei64 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 you could use the multi user version of wordpress.. basically integrated user databaseshttp://mu.wordpress.org/
