dj christian Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I tried to integrate the graphic (Nvidia), networkcard, motherboard drivers using the inf. files and all went fine until i tested the ISO file with Virtual PC too see if it's was going to work. But somehow it couldn't copy neither of those files even if i extracted the exe files into directories and choosing the inf. files from there.I know i did right thing but it seems it won't work.I am new to nLite but i am hoping there are experienced people out here willing to help. Thanks!
T D Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 (edited) Virtual PC has different emulated hardware to your actual, real PC that's sitting in your room.I think it uses a S3 trio 32/64 gfx card, half your current hardware cpu and an amount of ram that you can manually adjust.Basically, hardware present in your PC is not in the virtual pc. jakobahman Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 What exactly is supposed to happen when you test your ISO with VMware? Is it just to see if it boots at all? Because I have the exact same problem with it not copying the files for my driver integration before installation, and many other as well around these forums according to what I've understood.I just made a working copy with everything working except for the driver integration. Should it work if I now fire up nLite and integrate those .inf-files I want, create an ISO and then burn it and try to install?Cheers /J
minigun Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 i think we need a sticky topic for this and other common "n00b" questions
jakobahman Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I agree. In the meanwhile... Could someone just answer?
