DVD / DVD-rw & Virtual Drives not responding at all

I'm pretty sure that the problem is caused by the unattended version of windows that I use, since my other regular windows have no problems at all.

For some reason my DVD and Virtual Drives aren't responding to DVDs/CDs/ISOs at all. The funny thing is that I can still boot from my DVD drive..

Anyway, they're not showing up on 'My Computer' as well. I hope that you guys can help me find a solution.

(PS, A friend made it for me, so it's completely legal. Hence why I have no knowledge about this stuff at all.)

Did the new hardware wizard pop up after you installed the virtual drive?

@ ricktendo64, I'm using daemon tools as virtual drive. It was built-in into this unattended windows. Hence I got no pop-up at all.
