bledd Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 was on another forum, and someone wasn't sure what version of windows they had on a disc, someone suggested checking the EULAID in the eula.txt fileat the bottom of the MCE one, it says EULAID:MCE05_RM.0_PRO_OEM_ENhow do you identify o/s at the moment?
nuhi Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Nice.By reading txtsetup, hives and id files There are certain situations where this is necessary so no easy solution.edit: probably this will come in handy for MCE, thx
RogueSpear Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 @nuhi, I've found that line is not always present in EULA.txt for MCE. I don't know for certain if it has to do with the sales channel or not, but it doesn't seem to be 100%. I planned on using it as only part of detection as MCE. Hopefully a combination of criteria would be more accurate.

MagicAndre1981 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Here is the string of my german MCE 2005:EULAID:MCE05_RM.0_PRO_OEM_DE
