Shadow Copies

We use shadow copies to help backup our data. We set it so that the server creates a shadow copy three times a day. I have noticed that on mnay of our servers (all 2003 standard) that all of the previous versions just simply disapear and there is only one (which is generally the most recent) shadow copy available.

I have given the shadow copies plent of room to create the copies (20 gig actually) but at the moment i can only go back the most recent previous vesion. Can anyone shed some light as to why versions from a week ago are not there anymore?

How many versions do you have it set to keep? You can set it to keep a certain number of previous versions. My work has some systems set to one snapshot a day and 8 previous versions. On others they are snapped twice a day and i believe 12 versions.
