i dont know wats going on with my comp, the start menu icons start looking kind of wierd...even my recycle bin is acting that way....is it possible i may have a virus or somthing?? or may it be an error i need to scan for?? every time i click an icon, that funny looking one displays...i try changing the icon back to its regional display, nothing...

When did start to occur, did you install/uniinstall any applications or hardware changes.

I remember my icons changing when i assocaited pics, audio and media files before.

If you removed them or the files were deleted (e.g. iexplore.exe, notepad.exe, ypager.exe etc) the icons disappear.
