August 16, 200323 yr During an unattended installation i get this message when it tries to initiate the installation of DirectX 9.0b:"Invalid commandline Switch"I simply use the commandlinestart /wait %systemdrive%\install\applications\dx9b\DirectX9\dxsetup.exe /opkWhat do I do wrong?!
August 16, 200323 yr you need the hex-edited dxsetup.exe file from the site. The one included in the directx9 redist has the silent install switches disabled.
August 16, 200323 yr Author Okay, but what do I need to edit... what will need to be changed?I take it that i open the setup.exe-file in a hex-editor (I have absolutely no experience in this area).
August 16, 200323 yr no download thishttp://www.MSFN.org/unattended/files/dxset...or%20dx9.0b.zipit is alreay hex edited and its for directx9b
August 16, 200323 yr Author Wow, thanks But this is for the internet installation, isn´t it?I have downloaded the non-internet version of the program an put it on my (until further completion) virtual CD.Is there a way to fix this version?
August 16, 200323 yr this is for redistributable version, so just replace yours, you will need to unpack the dx install you downloaded, then to replace the file...
August 16, 200323 yr Looks like you were doing everything right...you just had the wrong version of Direct x 9b.....so download from the link given, replace the version you were using, and it'll work.
August 16, 200323 yr Author Hehe, okay Thanks tor the help, guys! This is my very first post in this entire forum... And I have to say that I am impressed that my problem was solved so quickly! Actually this is my very first try at the whole unattended-stuff, so once again... Thanks
