Printer Problems

I am no longer able to print to my old HP Deskjet 825c. The print icon will show up in the system tray, the document will appear in the que, and then it'll just disappear having never printed the document.

I did remove the default Windows printer drivers from the recent build of XP, and just used the ones from the HP installer cd. Is there a way to add them back in without installing XP again?

The printer is fine. Actually, it'll print a test page from the HP software but not from the Windows print test page option.

Here's the error i'm seeing in the event viewer:

The document Test Page owned by Administrator failed to print on printer hp deskjet 825c series. Data type: NT EMF 1.008. Size of the spool file in bytes: 77120. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 1. Number of pages printed: 0. Client machine: \\DESKTOP5. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 3 (0x3).

Not sure if that helps any.

Did you maybe disabled Printer Spooler service?

Did you use Printer Compatibility while removing components?

(it's probably something with removed drivers but lets first do this)

No. The Print Spooler service is set to automatic and running.

I'm pretty sure I checked Printer Compatibility, but i'll check the last session when I get home.
