DaveXP Posted August 15, 2003 Share Posted August 15, 2003 ok i have hacked iexplore to have a custom icon but the internet explorer icon on the desktop does not change and all the others do does anyone no why this is. DaveXP Posted August 15, 2003 Author Share Posted August 15, 2003 nope i find away to disable that crap because when i hacked explorer.exe to replace the my computer icon and some other crap it keep going on about me doing it so i got rid of it.Could there be a .dll file with the iexplore icon in it that is backing it up. bigred Posted August 15, 2003 Share Posted August 15, 2003 Hey Terminator...I think that IE Icon is coming from your shell32 file...and it's likely there because you have Classic Start Menu enabled....would that be right? DaveXP Posted August 18, 2003 Author Share Posted August 18, 2003 I have worked it out at long last you need to change the another system file from the link on the desktop to change to your new icon.shdoclc.dll is the one which was backing up the first iexplore icon.
