July 31, 200620 yr Before I can shutdown or reboot my Windows 98 I getthis fu*king "Wait-End Task-Cancel" dialog which hangs my system.What I noticed is that the title of the windows is called "DDE Server Window".Can somebody help me to find the answer to this problem,please? July 31, 200620 yr Author Is there any software that you rescently installed? sounds like there is a process running that can't close properlyYes, the Dsclient.exe update.I made some research and found out that this "DDE Server Window" message maybe comes from ole32.dll.If it has to do with this file maybe I just have a corrupt file.It looks similiar like this:---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- DDE Server Window This program is not responding. It may be busy, waiting for a response from you or it may have stopped running · click Cancel to ignore and return to windows · to close the program immediately, click End Task..
