Sound settings are not keept, please help

Hello.

My windows seems it won't keep in mind the settings I give it for recording. I select line in but at restart it will switch back to microphone. I have a TV Tuner for which I need Line in to record the audio but as windows is automaticaly switch back to micropohne after restart/shutdown I risk to forget to set the line in when I start recording from my TV tuner and have no sound.

Is there any way I can make windows keep in mind my options

In the Sounds and Audio Devices, ensure you do not have the Use on Default Devices checked, in some cases it is the cause of some custom setups.

Also check your sound cards software that comes with it, it may have simular settings.

I find out that skype was the one overwriting the sound
