I don't think the vendors have updated their prices yet. Wait a few more days and then check.

Quad cores are due from both AMD and Intel this November.

Intel has also updated their Duo chipsets (3 different models, all to rev2) to take care of some nasty memory module compatibility problems.

My local vendor already has cut the price of most AMD chipsets, though the 5000+ AM2 is still $449 dollars instead of $301. Bloody Australia, try to look for cheaper prices somewhere.
