Wireless internet connection sharing HELP Plzz!

Hi ppl.. I really need some help here and i would appreciate it if someone can lead me in the right direction!!

Well Heres the story.

I have a PC and it is connected to the internet via Broadband on ethernet. ALso has a Wireless PCI Network Card installed on the motherboard.

Now in the advaced properties of my cable internet connection i have the box ticked that says, allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection

I then get my laptop and connect it wirelessly to my PC, all good, Great signal and strong.

I launch IE and comes up to the Page not found error, and asking me Work Offline and or try again popup dialog. I have tried many things but it just wont get the internet to share. Everything else is fine..

Now what I find funny is I connect my laptop to the ethernet and get the internet going on it, then get another laptop and try to connect it to the laptop wirelessly and use the net and it works!!!

Why? Why wont the laptop be able to share the internet connection VIA my PC's wireless connection? WHat do i have to do? Obviuosly i dont need a router to share to one laptop as it works without a router when i share from laptop to laptop, but wont work from PC to Laptop.

Please help is appreciated!!

An Ad Hoc connection? Can you ping each other once the wireless connection is established?

Compare the ICS settings on the host pc and the client+host laptop...any differences?

well all i did was run the wireless network setup wizard. it just works f laptop to laptop but not pc to laptop.

they all had the same settings in the avanced/ics settings. both boxes were ticked and the laptop still cant share net off the pc, but the laptop can share net from another laptop wirelessky laptop.

ANyone ever had this problem and what did you do to fix it so i can share the net on my pc to a laptop wirelessly.?

We need to verify the wireless connection.

These steps aren't exact, but are hopefully close enough:

On the client laptop, once connected wirelessly, right-click on the network connection and check its properties

Find and note the gateway address

Go to the RUN box on your Start menu and type CMD and hit enter

Then, in the dos box, enter "ping 192.168.1.1" or whatever the gateway IP is, without the quotes

What are the results? You may want to do that on both client laptops for comparison.
