nautical Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 We have a domain where I work and therefore everyone has their own settings. For example, if I logon to someones machine it creates a documents and settings folder for me. When we build systems we logon as the local system administrator and install everything that way. What I'm trying to do is to get firefox to use the same settings, plugins, and extensions for all users. For instance, if I install an extension from the local administrator account, the extension is not installed if another user logs in. How do I make firefox use the same settings for all users?
DigeratiPrime Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Well for personal use I just use Portable Firefox here:http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/brow...ortable_firefoxBut for your environment I would probably modify the program shortcut or profiles.ini to point to a specific profile folder. See these two links:http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profilehttp://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments
