CptMurphy
What OS do they have? Also, do you have a firewall, and if so, what kind? Is it configured properly? There's a specific port for Remote Assistance that you need to allow, as well as the program itself.

Mordac85
Like m3n70r asked, do you have the OS firewall on or are you behind a firewall that would block the request?
tal ormanda
My windows firewall is off and i turned Zone Alarm off too and it still didnt work.
CptMurphy
It may be simple file sharing. Because XP uses it, and 2K doesn't, there's conflicts. I had a similar problem where I could see the other ppls PCs but they couldn't get into mine. I just turned off SFS and it fixed it up. Try that. tal ormanda
SFS?
Takeshi
SFS?simple file sharingI don't think making a RA connection has anything directly to do with SFS. SFS can't be turned off in XP HE but XP HE can use RA.Are you running XP Pro or HE?Has it been tweaked, or nLited? Are you behind a router? As I understand, RA can also be invited by email. Does that work? Edited July 16, 2006 by Takeshi
