Xpaninity Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 (edited) I´m preparing a system image with most of my games and I would like to install the newest directx redist before I install my games.I would like to use directx redist because: The DirectX Redist is recommended for those users that do not have internet connection during installation or need to reinstall the DirectX 9.0c core runtime.I´m asked to choose a folder to extract all the files. But what folder is it, can I choose any and simply delete that folder after completed installation? Also, I would like to get som advice on what I should respond to when games installation setup ask me to install directX. Can I safely ignore it, especially if I do have the most recent version of it? Edited June 30, 2006 by Xpaninity
ripken204 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 when u dload direcx, it is compressed, therefore it needs somewhere to extract the files. so just extract those files anywhere u want, then it will continue with the install. when a game asks you about directx, just cancel, it really doesnt matter tho.
