dansar
Hello,Under Windows XP Pro + SP1, I have the following User Accounts :User Groups--------------------------------------------------------------Administrator AdministratorsUser 1 Users with powerUser 2 Users with powerUser 3 UsersUser 4 UsersI have an Internet Connection created by User 1 and only allowed for himself.I would like that User 2 could connect with this connection,But I don't want that Users 3 and 4 could use it ; without using the command Runas because in this case this person would have access to the same Favorites than User 1.How it eventually with the group's stratégic, to allow this connection only the the Group of Users with power ?Unless there is some others possibility ?Thanks for your helpDansar
R600
I hope I'm not talking rubbish, but I always thought Favourites were specific to that particular user only!? That is the case on my machine and my dial-up setting is available to all users. Each user is meant to have their own Favourites folder which is stored separately in each individual's profile. DaveXP
R600 is right favorites are stored in the user profile not in the same place to view other people favorites just go to the Documents and Settings in the C:\
dansar
Thanks for yours answers. What I would like to do it's to give access to the Internet Connectiononly to one group of users and not to the other. If you have differents account users, one administrator for example, and a limited account, try the following :runas /savecred /user:Administrator "%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe"You will have to give the Administrator's password once.It will open the explorer with all the access of the Administrator.I would like to work with the User Groups strategy. If you can help me in this wayThanks again.DansarFree I,ternet !
