loss of icon individual appearance

I was making an adjustment to my display resolution and my icons all have the generic look and I have lost their individual appearance...all icons have the same appearance with the loss of their individual look.

Can you help me to correct this problem?? Thanks.

I fixed the problem by changing to 16bit and the icon appearance changed back to their original look and then I switched back to 32 bit and the icons remained individualized.

hope this will help someone else that has the same problem.

This is just a corrupted icon cache, that's why changing the color depth fixed it - it refreshed the cache.
