[Question] What is spoolsv.exe?

what is spoolsv.exe? is there a way i can remove it on my system?? and what are the possible errors i can encounter if i remove it??

i want to remove it coz it eats a lot on my Memory and it causes my Online Games to "lagg" can i remove it using nlite???

LLXX's answer is right. I've never known it to cause lagging in games... are you sure that it's not something else that's a problem? You should only have one of them running at any time.

And if you need printing, you can stop it before gaming with this:

net stop spooler

and start it after:

net start spooler

Make two batch, one to stop it and one to start it. This should be the best way.

I recommend you leave print spooler in services.msc on automatic if you've got a printer as if it's on manual, it doesn't usually start and on disabled you can't print.

That would cause it to remain in memory, needlessly taking CPU time and RAM.

However strange this may be, my print spooler is disabled but I can still print to the local printer. :blink:
