janus zeal
Ive yet to fix it, but it seems if you do Fn+F4 (might be diffrent for you) to put it into sleep then again to wake it will make the system resume. ^_^ Edited June 13, 2006 by janus zeal

BoardBabe
Didn't work. Also shutting down frequently causes lcd to go dark and system freez.

BoardBabe
I don't think the machine is responding, but as the LCD is shut off I have no way to find out
xper
Same problem here. HP ZT3000.
Biohead
I had a similar problem when trying to standby. I would standby the machine, but rather than it go into SB mode (power LED flashes orange) the power button would remain blue but my screen would go off. I found that if I left it a few minutes, pressed the power button (to "resume" the laptop) it would then come back on as if it was brought out of standby.Im not sure, but I think the lack of being able to Standby is having "Away Mode" active so that my XB360 can always connect - its part of the Media Center setup.
