Ophiel X
http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=75649Zxian censored this thread.I'm going to make the executive decision to remove this since it could be used to allow illegal copies of Windows to be run, which would be breaking the Windows XP EULA and the forum rules.I don't personally mind certain mods or removals, but when it comes to a validation check from Microsoft about a Microsoft product, don't tell people how to remove it. If you're having troubles, contact Microsoft Customer Support.people with legit keys (myself included) have been having immense trouble with this latest WGA. telling people to go to microsoft instead of discussing it here on the forums is rude and the wrong message to be sending to our readers. i understand he may personally disagree with the removal of this utility...that's fine, he can choose not to participate in the discussion then.but there is nothing illegal or immoral about the discussion of this utility's removal. Zxian
Have you read the MSFN Rules? 1. This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (porn, cracks, serials, etc..) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing WGA/activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated. If you ignore any of the aforementioned you will be banned without notice.I've let a lot of the members who posted "solutions" there off with an easy warning since they might not have thought it was that bad (since they had legal copies). Think about the warez junkies who Google for their solutions and find MSFN. Should this be a place where they find their fix? It's my responsibility as a moderator to make sure that the discussion in the XP Forums stays legal. The solution that was posted is as much a work around, and just as illegal, as any activation crack or hack that you might find elsewhere. Also, if you read further down in the rules...8. Has the thread you started or participated in been moved, closed or deleted? Check with the forum moderator via PM. Under no circumstances start threads asking why other threads were moderated. Forum moderation is not up for public debate, such threads will be deleted and the thread starter warned. MSFN reserves the right to edit, delete or move posts made on this site. You haven't PMed me yet, and it's not very nice to try to go over my head.
