Hi Everyone.

I'm making an autorun cd so that PDFs opens when they put cd in...

In the Directory I have:

autorun file

PDF file (with links to other PDF)

Folder of other PDFs

Acrobat reader (which I downloaded, filled out the forms, installed the program)

I burned the cd and it worked.

Now I have to revise some of the files.

The problem now is every time I burn the cd, eject it and insert it again

I get the following message:

File MSVCP71.dll was not found...

It doesn't matter what PC I put the CD in I get the same error???

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this as I'm fast running out of time?

Hi Thanks for you help, this is great...

I copied the .dll files into the Acrobat/Reader/ directory.

Burned the cd and tested it.

I got to the splash screen then gave me a

This program has unexpetadly quit window

stating that error: EventType : InPageError P1 : blah, blah, blah

If I can get past this then I think I'll be home free...

Any ideas

The autorun file is just a plain old one opening a PDF

What version of Acrobat are you using?

Maybe try an older version. They're much easier to work with as standalone.

sorry if this takes the original thread off topic, but wouldn't it be more wise to use the Freeware Utility "Foxit PDF Reader"?

it's standalone and to me is a lot better then Adobe Acrobat. It's written in c++ so you may also need the msvcp71.dll (as thats the runtime dll for c++ apps)

Foxit's text renderer doesn't do a very good job at rendering documents of mainly text...

By older version, I meant 5.x or 4.01, stripped of plugins and unnecessary files.

Acrobat 7 and 6 are very similar.

ahh thanks for mentioning that LLXX.

The PDF's i look at are usually Ebooks at 125% zoom and have the navigation on the side pretty narrow.

Ok....

Let me just thank LLXX for his suggestions, they were spot on.

I did have to go back to Acrobat Reader 5 (which, by the way, was the earliest I could go back)

And that worked.

Again, thankyou,

I find it increadable that the lastest version didn't work...
