didadocom
HiI have searched but can't find a manual or a guide on how to make a CD to install all (or the ones that one chooses) of the hotfixes, patches, updates, etc. for Win95/98/98SE/ME.I don't want to use one of the many available Service Packs available here and everywhere, with the major drawback that is the lack of being able to select which hotfixes an end user may install. And also the problem with the hotfix language.I want to create a tool similar to WPI or XPCreate or something like those. Or to make it simple, a system to integrate all the hotfixes in one place, then choose the ones to install on a specific Operating System. It is an Attended-Unattended CD. After the installation of the OS one takes the Hotfix CD and installs the appropiate hotfixes.Somebody knows it or an approach to it?Many thanks
KRYOGENIUS
HelloTry this, i hope it will help you to integrate hotfixes without service packhttp://www.msfn.org/board/?showtopic=49892http://www.windows-help.net/windows98/start-146.shtmlYou have also this method,Have a small turn in the repertory “\ tools \ RESKIT \ BATCH” of your Windows 98 CD will enable you to find a utility making it possible to create files inf defining the default settings for an installation. Then, for the installation, it will be enough for you to use under DOS (while starting on the diskette or CD) the order “install.exe filename.inf”++
