Air Con

Hi there,

Summer is upon us

I am looking to buy a portable air con unit for my pc room / conservatory

The room is 15ft x 15ft x 7ft

I have pcs out there and last summer we had alot of hardware go down because of the heat.

To cut a long story short, would you suggest that i use a portable air con unit as my evap cooler is rubbish.

I am not looking to spend more than £200

Hello,

I've got a room where i have all of my machines for gaming and work and my servers which are for my domain controller and exchange. I got a portable Air con unit from http://www.acshop.co.uk I chose the 9,000BTU which also had a heater depends on the features you want and the room is cooled within 2 minutes and then switches off and as soon as the temp goes up a degree it switches back on!

Hello,

Due to the size and the fact that's it's a conservatory i would recommend a min of 12,000 BTU. My aunt has got a conservatory and they had a 9,000BTU round about the size of yours just slightly bigger and it didn't cool the room. They now have a 12,000 and the conservatory is cooled and at the required temp say 19c within 5 mins allowing for the compressor to kick in and start cooling the air!
