valteroliveira
Hello...I'm a pportuguese person,so if my english is incorrect, sorry.I'm trying to make a project but I need some help. I want to make a repository server of the windows update files. I wonder if that's possible. The project is to create a sever that have those files and the other computers of my private network pick the updates on my computer instead of accessing the microsoft server. If that's posiible can someone tell how? Thanks and Regardings,Valter Oliveira
Gouki
Hello Valter,What you are describing is exactly what a WSUS server does. You download the hotfixes/patches once, aprove them and then order the client machines to download from that same server instead of the Windows Update website.Have you looked at WSUS? If it doesn't satisfy your needs, you can also install Apache on a machine and make the clients download (manually) from there.your english is quite good, and I maybe able to help you with your project, if you wish?I'm pretty sure he wants help, otherwise he wouldn't ask for it.+ Information on WSUS [Thread moved to Windows NT/2000/2003]
