I had this Office XP installed before and it was working fine until one day my outllook crashes hard. So I tried to repair the files usind the DETECT & REPAIR options but got no solutions. I uninstalled it and tried to re-install it and it has been messed up ever since. This is not a burned copy either...... :) *Dam this stinks

man...I have tried everything :) !! I think what it comes down to is getting that **** file OFFICE1.CAB. Does anyone know what I should do..I would just hate to pay MicroSSSoft money to help me out

1. Are you sure Office1.cab isn't in the root of your CD?

2. Have you checked with 'show hidden files and folders enabled'?

3. Have you copied the whole CD to the hard drive and ran setup from there?

If Office1.cab doesn't exist, then your CD is possibly damaged. Run it through CD-Check from here just to be sure.

wow COOL IT WORKED..I COPIED ALL FILE TO MY COMPUTER AND IT LOADED EVERYTHING. GREAT IDEA!! All my applications loaded (Frontpage and Word etc. except for MS Outlook. It has an error

Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. An error occurred that prevented the file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst from being saved. Close and then restart all mail-enabled applications.

ANyone know how to fix this :)
