ehabfg Posted April 15, 2006 Share Posted April 15, 2006 (edited) [Release] hkSFV MD5 Sum Checker AddonMD5 checksums are very important for checking the integrity of downloaded files and they are common practice on most download sites these days.What is an .MD5? -- In a sense, .MD5 did not exist until now, as md5sum is a popular Unix format similar to .SFV and Unix does not use file extensions the way Windows based systems do. .MD5 uses the md5 algorithm to compute its checksums, rather than the crc32 method used by .SFV. hurk7 Posted October 18, 2006 Share Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) Hi,Since you all seem to be using hkSFV you might be able to help me out.hkSFV 2.0.1 build 84 ( hkSFVsetup.exe , md5: fc995bb71ae0ce5cd78feeeef7af74a2 ) is buggy on my system. Pretty often, the hkSFV.exe process remains after the GUI is closed and starts to consume almost 100% CPU. This seems to happen especially when I create .md5 files for multiple files.Do you also have this bug?Is there some known solution to it?BTW, hkSFV seems to be abandonware.
