Whenever I try to connect to a database I get the following error:Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES) in c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\installtestdbconnect.php on line 47Failed to establish a database connection.Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)Using apache 1.3.27php 4.3.2and sql 3.something...I tried it with 4.0 but there was a post about someone having problems with it and to stick to the older version so I rolled back to that version and it still doesnt work... any ideas? Aaron Posted July 10, 2003 Share Posted July 10, 2003 I had the same exact error when I was using the new MySQL 4.0 when installing IPB 1.1. But you seem to be getting it on 3.x as well...
