If someone disabled a service they dont need what is the best way to make sure the reg entry and depency are removed pre-install? How about some files like IE etc how would the reg entry be remaved pre-install.

It depends on the service. Some are in the hives, some are inside INFs and some are a combo of hives and infs.

Thanks tommyp this will help make a more effecient windows. BTW are there any programs which search these hives and inf from the build before it is burnt to a cd?

Sure. I know of two options: HFSLIP and NLITE.
