Doctor Trout Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Hey guys,I'm very much a child of the Windows 2000 and XP generation, but I need to install Windows 98SE on an old computer. I've got a disc, and I've had a look... and it's all a bit alien to me. But, I was wondering is there a way of removing components from it and making an unattended install, rather than having to go through command prompts and stuff?I presume there's no programme like nLite for Windows 98... but where do I start playing with my disc?Cheers for any help.
LLXX Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) There's a program (not free) called 98lite that will do this somewhat, but if you want to do it manually then the install process basically contains a bunch of script INF files that you can edit with a text editor.Details at http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=53927 Edited April 4, 2006 by LLXX

LLXX Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Try http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=53927 then.
